Great pizza and sandwiches! Pies made to order and come out fast and hot. Dough made fresh daily and they use the best of the best toppings.Can't beat this spot just up the hill from Union Square. There is something for the pickiest of pizza lovers (like myself!)

Some of the best pizza crust I've ever had, seriously. I called to place a takeout order and the food was ready less than 15 minutes later. The location was great for me, located just around the corner from my hotel and many others. The food itself was great, and the price was lower than I expected compared to most of the food I ate in San Francisco. I'll definitely be buying from them again on my next trip to SF.

Fabulous. Delicious pizza (combo, recommended). Stellar service (a complex and yet flawless execution). Next time I'm in the mood for pizza I'm going to have to BART into The City. [Good food can be a real pain.] My compliments to the whole crew. Bravo!

Ordered a large veggie pizza from here for pick up as it's the closest place to us. The menu says around $24. Overall it's a pizza and was fine, but just not the best pizza I've had in the area. In a quick pinch I would order it but not if I had time to plan.

Wonderful authentic neighborhood style Italian restaurant. If you love pizza, pasta, and cheesecake like Mama makes it, Vito delivers! If you are into pretentious pseudo food, keep walking.

Had the Grilled Chicken Breasts Fettuccine with Side Salad. Tasty! Love the broccoli and mushrooms with the pasta. Friendly service. Cozy setting. Tight spaces. Will go back again.

Get the Red Eye Pizza with fresh garlic. The lines can be long as it's a popular place.

The food is good and fast but service needs improvement. Waitline does get pretty long but turnaround is quick. Or come before the rush. It’s cramp and old place with only 1 bathroom. Good luck finding parking too.

The food is always outstanding! Absolutely everything on the menu is tasty! Just a little history I remember when the famous San Francisco red hat ladys would walk up that steep Powell st hill to come here and many times give autographs they will be missed! This place is an icon!

Good solid stop for pizza. We had a basic pepperoni pie and was really good. Sauce not too sweet and not too zesty and the other ingredients were fresh. Service was decent and for the price, can't go wrong. True mom and pop style pizzeria.

Dough was okay. Would of liked the pizza to be cooked a bit longer. Veggie pizza caused the center not to be cooked all the way. The edges (pizza crust) was not browned. The slices broke in half due to this complication. I would eat it again but I'd have to ask for 4-5 more minutes in the oven. Also the price just wasn't right for how normal the pizza dough and product was. If it was cheaper by -$8 the price would justify the flavor.

The pizza was so delicious! Ingredients were high quality. Good price and friendly staff. Pitchers are a good price.

Hidden gem near work! I have been coming to this place for many years since work is 2 blocks away. Grilled chicken Fettuccine is my favorite !

I had a superb in this spot. We loved the first-rate atmosphere and the food. The staff were super affable. I’m happy we eventually decided to try this restaurant.

Delicious pizza!! I fully recommended to you. The place it’s small so be patience to be seated.

Wanted a better deal on a burger than other places in the area, and I saw that Uncle Vito's had burgers for around $10, and that includes fries! Got a mushroom burger and added swiss, and it was great! They loaded it up with large fresh cooked mushrooms (as shown in the picture). I got another order of fries to go and they packaged them very well and included both ketchup and mayo without being asked (which I appreciated). They even stapled the bag to make it easier to carry. The service and food were both great. I hope to return someday when I'm in town to try their pizza!

pizza and service here is better than most. I love going here. Looking forward to coming back with my friends. Bring your hunger - portions are generous. Like a restaurant in Washington I loved.

Fantastic food. Food here was great! Although we had to wait 30 mins during a busy sunday evening, our family of 4 all agreed it was very much worth it.Our 6 year old had a great time eating his spaghetti and meat balls. He informed me it was delicious and I had to trust his word as he didn't save any for me.The pizzas were great. As you can see from the photo it was large and delicious.Would recommend.

This place offers fantastic service and yummy meals. My favourite spot in town. The meals served quickly and the prices were economical. Recommended.

The pizza was incredible. The service was very good. The prices were very good as well. I know it is San Francisco and they are limited by space, but the entrance was very small and the waiting area was hardly big enough for two way "traffic". Being a little claustrophobic, this is my only negative. The walk from our hotel was easy. The streets were well lit.

We frequent take out from this place on the regular. The fettuccine alfredo and the fettuccine sienna (with grilled chicken breast, pesto, and sun dried tomatoes) is solid. Super quick for pick up!
